We pride ourselves in serving the local community, whether it be stamp collecting related or not. We believe that giving and sharing makes a big difference in the community. At the Moose Lodge’s most recent fund raiser, we raised and donated over $1,400 to support those in need in our community.

We are a strong supporter of the Stamps For The Wounded, a charitable organization that provides veterans who are convalescing in hospitals or at home with stamps and collecting supplies. We collect and donate many boxes of stamps and other materials to them every year.

Many of our members are active with the Boy Scouts and provide Stamp Collecting Merit Badge counseling as well as other assistance. At our annual stamp show we have a youth table with donated stamps and work with scouts to assist them in learning and performing the requirements to receive their Stamp Collecting Merit Badge.

We help sponsor a Junior Stamp Club and donate to them stamps and other collecting material to their club. The juniors periodically join us in our meetings as full participants, including having special youth-only tables during our stamp auctions.

We are often approached by people in our community who have inherited a stamp collection or are dusting off a collection from many years past. We assist them in understanding the value of the collection and how to preserve the material as a keepsake. Very often we advise them on how to sell the collection or how to donate so that others many continue to enjoy it. We very much welcome donations and ensure that they  go to individuals who appreciate the materials.
